Weekly Routine + Tips

So everyone's week looks pretty different. Establishing a weekly routine was something that was vital for me , especially being in a new country. There are a couple of things that I have found work well for me and keep me sane during this new normal. Here is a break down of my week+helpful tips to get you through yours.

Note..Now that we are in quarantine, try not to let this change much. If you are still working from home, get up, get dressed and treat your day like normal. Sub the gym for an at home workout, and you are good to go!


 Monday-----> Grocery shopping day!
 I am usually super drained from the weekend's church activities and so the only thing I have energy for is getting food for the week.

Tip---> Not only does this set you up for the week, but once I get back, I simply have a smoothie or some porridge for dinner. This serves as my no meat day+ your girl is not cooking after all that.

Tuesday---> By Tuesday, I have regained some energy so I am ready to kick it into gear. I head to the gym after work. Since I know have a fully stocked fridge, I run home by 6:20 to make a meal that I can finish and eat by 7.

Tip---> Make this meal easy and double it so that you can also have it for dinner the next day. Cuz  seriously who has the energy to cook dinner two nights in a row back to back?


Wednesday---> Another work and gym day plus dinner is easy because it was made yesterday. SCORE! I usually throw some clothes in the washer since I have some time.

Thursday--> Work, gym and chill..unwinding activities in full effect. Since Tuesday's dinner is finished, it is time to cook again, but no worries. It is another easy meal that can be doubled.

Friday---- Work and dinner from yesterday..feet up and un-bothered.

Saturday---> Time to take the clothes down from Wednesday
                      Work and date day with friends
                      Church activities during the night (Sub for netflix and a good book in quarantine)

Tip---> I like to fold right away to avoid the pile that may stare at me later.

Sunday--> Date day with Jesus ! Church all day and I wouldn't change it for the world. FLOW with me!

Tip---> Treat yourself. Their are no more leftovers and I know you do not feel like cooking, so grab some food. Try to stick within your normal diet and don't veer too far left. You can do it.

So if your wondering if I sleep, I am wondering too. I never wait to crash but I try to overcome my excuses, otherwise they will get the best of me.

Do not guilt yourself for resting, sabbath was created by the Lord! It is super necessary, not an option. However,  never use tiredness as a reason to keep your from your dreams and goals.


The simple key?  Breathe. Failing to accomplish a task is not the end of the world. Simply refocus the next day and make a plan to get it done.
