Perspective

This time of uncertainty that we are in has some of us deep in the dumps. I am one of them. I had to analyze the areas of my life in which I was not happy and apply what the word says! I encourage you in this season to write down the different areas in your life in which you think differently from the Lord. I am sharing my own personal areas as well as some of the things the Lord says about  them. I pray this will encourage you to uncover your own truths. 

Marriage 

Terrible Perspective ——-> When will it happen? Do I really want to wait? Perhaps if it doesn’t I will find other means to get what I’ve always wanted 

God’s Perspective———->  ‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭NLT‬‬.....Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires.

“Jesus replied, “You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.” John‬ ‭13:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? 2nd Corinthians 6:14

3 Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction? Amos 3:3 

You can literally wake up today and marry whoever you want. We all have people in our phones that would be with us, but are not the right ones. So since you haven't done that, you know without a fact that you are single because you know your worth. Rest in that and in the power of our Lord who knows all things. Your time is coming! 

Ministry 

Terrible Perspective-—-—-> 

Will I ever be all that God has called me to be? What does this look like for me? I am going to do it alone; without a partner?

God’s Perspective—------—>

So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless. 1 Corinthians 15:58

We are all called to fulfill the Great Commission. From time to time, check yourself. Are you doing that? Then you are doing what God has called you to do. 

Friendships

Terrible Perspective-—-—-> 

Perhaps it's odd that I have only a couple close friends. Maybe I need more so that I do not look like an outcast. 

God’s Perspective—------—>

A friend is always loyal,
    and a brother is born to help in time of need. Proverbs 17:17

After David had finished talking with Saul, he met Jonathan, the king’s son. There was an immediate bond between them, for Jonathan loved David. 1 Samuel 18:1

Quantity is not the issue; their purpose is the issue. What purpose do they serve? If they are serving a specific purpose, then they are meant to stay. 

Career

Terrible Perspective-—-—-> 

This career. Is this it? I'm stuck. No way I can still serve in the kingdom with this career

God’s Perspective—------—> 

Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Colossians 3:23

A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight. Proverbs 11:1

Remember that our calling is the Great Commission. So if your job is allowing you to fulfill that, don't stress. Also, believe God that he will take you higher according to what his plans are for you. Listen to his leading always and try your best to replace the complaining with words of faith. In time, that is what will come to pass.

This was truly written from a real place. I have to remind myself of these truths daily! Don't ever think the devil is not after your mind and your thoughts. Do not let him have it! Write your truths against the lies and declare them today.
